Search for Sight Words: Idea #211

Gumball printable found here.
Lakeshore Learning has some wonderful sight word games that can enhance your student's learning. One of the games that I particularly like is called Search for Sight Words. Each card in the game has a large gumball machine. Each gumball has a word printed on it. Your student is to read the sight word at the top of the gumball machine and then find the five gumballs that also have that word. Your student uses counters to cover the words up. Once your student has found all five, they can flip the card over to check their answers.

There are different levels to this game. Each game includes 25 different word search cards, 4 activity boards, and 40 counters. Four children can do this activity at the same time! This game helps students quickly identify and remember sight words. Your student will love finding these sight words in the books they are reading. You can find the Search for Sight Words game here. Enjoy!
